The science behind Neuro AIThe science behind our EEG wearable technology
Every Neuro AI device is built on electroencephalography (EEG) — the same technology used in hospitals and research labs to measure brainwave activity. We’ve engineered this clinical science into lightweight wearable headbands that work in your bedroom, at your desk, and during meditation. No clinics. No prescriptions. No side effects.

Core TechnologiesThree technologies. One wearable ecosystem.
Each Neuro AI device combines one or more of these proven neuroscience technologies, adapted from clinical research into comfortable everyday wearables.
EEG — brainwave sensing
Electroencephalography captures the tiny electrical signals your neurons produce — mapped to five brainwave states that reflect your mental condition in real time. The foundation of all three devices.
All three devicesCES — cranial electrotherapy stimulation
Micro-current pulses weaker than a standard 9V battery are delivered to the scalp, promoting the natural release of serotonin, dopamine and melatonin — reducing anxiety and guiding you toward sleep without drugs.
Easleep Brain-MachineAI neurofeedback adaptation
The companion app builds a personalised brainwave baseline over time, learning your unique patterns and adapting audio, stimulation intensity and session recommendations as your brain health measurably improves.
FocusCalm & OxyZenBrainwave StatesYour five brainwave states, explained
Your Neuro AI device reads and responds to these five EEG frequency bands — each associated with a distinct mental state your device can detect, support or enhance.
| Wave | Frequency | Activity | Device |
|---|---|---|---|
| Delta | 0.5–4 Hz | Deep restorative sleep | Esleep |
| Theta | 4–8 Hz | Drowsiness, meditation | OxyZen |
| Alpha | 8–13 Hz | Calm, relaxed focus | FocusCalm |
| Beta | 13–30 Hz | Active thinking, stress | FocusCalm |
| Gamma | 30–100 Hz | Peak cognitive performance | FocusCalm |
How EEG reads your brainwaves
Your neurons communicate using tiny electrical impulses. When millions fire in synchrony, they produce rhythmic oscillations — brainwaves — measurable from the surface of your scalp using dry EEG sensors embedded in the headband.
The device samples your EEG signal hundreds of times per second. The AI identifies which frequency bands are dominant and uses this to determine your real-time mental state — then responds: adjusting audio, stimulation or session content accordingly.
Did you know?
EEG technology has been used in clinical neuroscience research since 1924. Neuro AI brings over a century of brainwave science into a device you can wear at home.
Engineering Principles What makes Neuro AI different
Four engineering principles underpin every product in the Neuro AI range — separating these devices from passive wearables that merely track without responding.
Real-time EEG sensing
Multi-sensor headbands capture brainwave activity across multiple scalp points — giving the AI a richer, more accurate picture of your mental state than single-sensor devices or consumer wellness apps that measure nothing at all.
Closed-loop stimulation
Unlike passive wearables, Neuro AI devices respond to your brain in real time — adjusting audio, light or micro-current intensity based on what your EEG data shows moment to moment. The device listens and reacts.
AI-personalised sessions
The companion app builds a personalised brainwave baseline over time. As your brain health improves, session difficulty, content recommendations and stimulation parameters adapt — you’re never doing a generic programme.
Clinical-grade sensors, consumer design
The same dry EEG sensor technology used in medical research and sleep clinics — engineered into lightweight, ergonomic headbands designed for all-night comfort and daily wearability without conductive gel or clinical setup.
Safety & PrivacySafety, data privacy and compliance
Neuro AI devices are engineered to clinical safety standards. Every concern a buyer might have about brain-sensing wearables is addressed here.
Scientifically grounded technology
Our technology is built on decades of research in neurostimulation and brainwave science. Techniques like microcurrent and CES are widely studied for their ability to support sleep, relaxation, and overall wellbeing in a safe, non-invasive way.
Micro-current CES — clinically established
CES delivers current weaker than a 9V battery. The technology has decades of peer-reviewed research behind it as a non-pharmacological sleep and anxiety intervention.
Your brain data stays on your device
Raw EEG signals are processed locally on your smartphone. Brainwave data is never transmitted to external servers, shared with advertisers or sold to third parties.
Non-invasive and drug-free
All three devices are non-invasive wearables. No chemicals, no implants, no prescriptions required — designed for safe daily use by healthy adults across Australia.
The RangeFind the right device for your goal
Each Neuro AI device applies these technologies to a specific wellness outcome. All ship free across Australia with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Easleep Brain-Machine
EEG sleep tracking combined with cranial electrotherapy stimulation for faster sleep onset, deeper rest and drug-free support for insomnia and restless nights.
FocusCalm EEG Headband
Real-time neurofeedback training that builds sharper cognitive focus, a lower stress response and improved mental performance — through games and guided sessions, not willpower.
OxyZen Smart Headband
The only wellness headband tracking brainwaves, heart rate and blood oxygen simultaneously — with 600+ guided meditation and wellness sessions included. Perfect introduction to Neuro AI.
